Sulphur Powder is a traditional remedy used by many for the treatment and prevention of pests and infestations in farm animals and horses, fertilising soil, and as a feed additive for horses and farm animals (½ teaspoon daily added to feed for horse and ponies).
It is often used to help avoid mud fever in horses and ponies. It can be applied to their legs daily, either as a powder or mixed with a salve or oil, with the aim of providing some water resistance and reducing the chance of mud sticking. Sulphur is fine for application in small doses.
