Oaten chaff is made by harvesting and drying an immature oat crop when grain is at the milky stage. Oaten chaff is normally used to bulk up other feeds to increase chewing, additional fibre and energy. Sourced from the South Island. Oaten Chaff from Canterbury has large-sized grains (retaining a high calcium value) mixed with a fine quality straw.
